I-10 and Callaghan Property

     We picked up a house today in one of the best locations in San Antonio, I-10 and Callaghan.  This house is located right across from the medical center http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Texas_Medical_Center which is one of the largest industries in the city.  Located anywhere else this house would likely not be worth $128,000 but it most certainly is.  This house has something I saw for the first time in a house: a sliding glass door inside.  I just recently was asked about an interior sliding glass door by an agent and thought he was crazy for even asking me but sure enough we bought a house that has one.  Roof appears to be in good shape but not necessarily new.  This one appears to be a straight forward cosmetic rehab with no major structural problems.  With $23,000 in repairs this house is going to sell quick but could also rent for a decent amount because of its proximity to the medical center.  I graduated from Health Careers High School and know that the traffic in this part of town can get insane making proximity to those that work here a big factor.
